Q Why are budgets, schedules, and key success factors essential to operations control and evaluation? If you were to rank them in terms of importance, which do you think would be uppermost, and why? Give your opinion.
Post-action control and evaluation are provided by operations control over short periods from 1 month to 1 year usually. Four steps should be taken by systems of operational control that is common to all controls of post action in order to be effective: • Performance standards should be set • Deviations should be identified from the set of standards • Actual performance should be measured • Corrective action should be initiated (Pearce & Robinson, 2009).
